I’m so excited to be spending my weekend at Southampton’s Common People Festival. Spread across the May bank holiday and for the second year running, Common People takes over Southampton Common and brings with it stars such as Craig David, Jamie Lawson and Duran Duran. The Common is the perfect space to host this non-camping festival and the amazing memories of my time there last year meant I knew I had to go again and see if the incredible organisers behind Bestival could come through once again.
If you want that extra special experience then I can highly recommend The Nook, an exclusive VIP hub area for those happy to pay a little extra. It was by far the best place to enjoy the festival with a private bar and premium street food options for those wanting a little more choice. We had awesome unparalleled views of the main stage and beautiful boho lounge beds slightly raised off the ground. There was nothing better than listening to Clean Bandit, drinking champagne and sunbathing in this swanky spot.
This year I’m most excited about watching Craig David blow us away with his TS5 DJ experience, something the Southampton musical legend is now so well known for. Mix other great stars such as Katy B, Lady Leshuur and many more with scrumptious delights from Caribbean Jerk or The Gourmet Grilled Cheese Company plus some sunny cocktails, it’s a recipe for one perfect weekend!
