In less than a week I head to the beautiful city of York; according to BING the ‘Most’ beautiful city in the whole of the UK. Having never been I’ve only got my imagination and pictures from endless travel guides to paint some kind of picture of what I am to expect.
There’s something I find so calming about not knowing where you’re going or what you’re going to do. I’m not sure if that’s normal. As the avid planner and expert organiser that I am there is a slight thrill to having no control over those few days.
That’s where I find myself now, a few days away from the journey to The North. It’s incredible to think that right up until the industrial revolution, York, was second only to London in population and Importance. Caked in history and full of culture there is just so much to see and do in my short visit there. I fear it almost impossible but to scratch the surface of ‘Britain’s Favourite Small City’, voted by The Rough Guide.
I will be making the most of the York Pass offering you a choice of free entry to over 30 York attractions and tours as well as restaurant and shopping offers.
